We are seeking a Workshop Service Technician to diagnose, repair, maintain, and test commercial food-service equipment. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys troubleshooting, working with their hands, and taking ownership of their work. Experience with commercial equipment, electrical systems, HVAC/R, refrigeration, or appliance repair is preferred. Responsibilities Diagnose and repair commercial restaurant and meat market equipment Service meat saws, grinders, slicers, mixers, vacuum machines, and related equipment Diagnose and repair commercial scales and weighing equipment Troubleshoot ice machines and refrigeration equipment Diagnose mechanical, electrical, electronic, and control-system problems Read wiring diagrams and use meters Identify required replacement parts Properly reassemble and thoroughly test equipment after repairs Complete accurate service and repair documentation Maintain company tools and diagnostic equipment Keep customer equipment and parts properly labeled and organized Workshop Organization & Cleanliness Maintaining the workshop is an important part of this position.
The technician is expected to:
Keep workbenches and repair areas clean and organized Return tools and equipment to their proper locations Keep equipment organized by repair status Maintain clean aisles, work areas, and parts storage Clean and reset the work area after completing each job Assist with general shop cleaning and organization Qualifications Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting ability Experience with commercial equipment, HVAC/R, refrigeration, appliance repair, electrical, or industrial maintenance preferred Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and electrical test equipment Ability to read wiring diagrams and service manuals Strong attention to detail and organization Dependable, self-motivated, and willing to learn Ability to work independently and as part of a team What We're Looking For We want someone who takes pride in doing the job right the first time .
