Role:
The Quick Service Technician plays a critical role in ensuring vehicles receive timely and efficient maintenance and repair services to maintain optimal performance and safety. This position focuses on performing routine automotive repairs and maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections, and fluid checks with precision and speed. The technician will work closely with service advisors and customers to diagnose issues, recommend necessary services, and complete repairs within established timeframes. By maintaining high-quality workmanship and adhering to safety standards, the Quick Service Technician helps enhance customer satisfaction and supports the overall success of the service department. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to continuous learning in automotive technologies and repair techniques.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Proven experience in automotive repair or maintenance, specifically in quick service or light repair roles. Basic knowledge of automotive systems and components. Ability to use diagnostic tools and equipment safely and effectively. Valid driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications:
Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification or equivalent. Experience working with a variety of vehicle makes and models. Familiarity with computerized diagnostic systems and repair software. Strong customer service skills and ability to communicate technical information clearly. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
Perform routine maintenance services including oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections, and fluid replacements efficiently and accurately. Diagnose minor vehicle issues and communicate findings and recommendations clearly to service advisors and customers. Ensure all repairs and maintenance tasks comply with manufacturer specifications and safety standards. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including proper handling and disposal of automotive fluids and materials. Collaborate with team members to meet daily service goals and contribute to a positive customer experience.
