Role Description The Technician role is a full-time, on-site position based in Bossier City, LA. The Technician will perform diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance on a variety of material handling and construction equipment, including forklifts, aerial lifts, and other heavy machinery. Daily responsibilities include inspecting equipment, identifying mechanical and electrical issues, ordering and installing parts, and documenting all service work in accordance with company standards. The Technician will collaborate with the service team and parts department to ensure timely turnaround, support customers with clear communication about equipment status, and follow all safety protocols and manufacturer guidelines. This role may involve occasional field service visits, use of company tools and service vehicles, and continuous learning to stay current on equipment technologies. Qualifications Mechanical and electrical diagnostics skills for material handling and construction equipment, including troubleshooting engines, hydraulics, and drive systems. Proficiency in equipment maintenance and repair practices, such as performing scheduled services, replacing components, and testing equipment for safe operation. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and service documentation, and to use diagnostic tools and software effectively. Strong safety awareness, including adherence to OSHA and company safety standards, proper use of PPE, and safe operation of tools and equipment. Effective communication and customer service skills to explain findings, recommend next steps, and work collaboratively with service advisors and team members. Good organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple work orders and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment. High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in diesel, automotive, or heavy equipment repair is preferred.
