Job Description
Job Summary K2 Restoration Solutions is seeking a dependable, motivated Restoration Technician to join our growing team. The Restoration Technician assists with emergency mitigation and restoration services for residential and commercial properties affected by water, fire, mold, and storm damage. This is a hands-on position ideal for someone who works well as part of a team, takes pride in their work, and is willing to learn the restoration industry. Key Responsibilities Respond to water, fire, mold, and storm damage losses Perform water extraction and emergency mitigation Assist with selective demolition and removal of damaged materials Set up, monitor, move, and remove air movers, dehumidifiers, air scrubbers, and other restoration equipment Take moisture readings and assist with moisture mapping Assist with mold remediation and containment procedures Assist with contents manipulation, pack-outs, and protection of customer belongings Take clear job-site photos and complete required documentation Maintain clean and organized job sites Clean, organize, and maintain company vehicles, equipment, and warehouse areas Follow company procedures, safety requirements, and IICRC standards Communicate professionally with customers and team members Participate in after-hours/on-call emergency response as scheduled These duties line up closely with current restoration technician roles, which commonly involve extraction, drying equipment, demolition, documentation, emergency response, and physically demanding job-site work. Technician Qualifications Required Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record Reliable and punctual Strong work ethic Ability to follow directions and work as part of a team Comfortable using hand and power tools Ability to work in homes, businesses, basements, crawlspaces, and other job-site environments Ability to perform physically demanding work and regularly lift approximately 50+ lbs Comfortable wearing required PPE Willingness to work occasional nights, weekends, overtime, and emergency/on-call shifts Strong attention to detail Professional attitude when interacting with customers Preferred Previous restoration, mitigation, construction, demolition, maintenance, or related trade experience Water damage or mold remediation experience
