U.S. Citizens Only Position Summary We are seeking a hands-on Repair Technician I to support the troubleshooting, repair, programming, upgrading, testing, and documentation of two-way radio communication equipment . This position supports a technical repair depot servicing communication equipment for U.S. Federal Government customers. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electronics troubleshooting, RF communications, two-way radio systems, and electronic test equipment , along with the ability to follow established repair and quality procedures. Key Responsibilities Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, upgrade, and program two-way portable and mobile radio equipment . Set up, adjust, and operate electronic and RF test equipment according to established procedures. Perform operational testing and monitor equipment performance to verify proper functionality. Use test equipment such as Digital Volt Meters (DVMs), Service Monitors, and Watt Meters . Perform radio depot repair activities, hardware upgrades, and programming. Document equipment condition, troubleshooting activities, repairs performed, and final test results. Record serial numbers, model numbers, feature information, and other required technical data accurately. Follow established repair processes, technical procedures, quality standards, and documentation requirements. Clean and prepare repaired equipment for final shipment. Work collaboratively with team members to meet repair throughput, quality, and customer-service objectives. Complete required training and progress toward independent productivity. Required Qualifications 1-3 years of related electronics, radio, RF, telecommunications, or equipment repair experience , OR an Associate Degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering Technology with relevant technical experience. Knowledge of two-way radio systems and RF communications . Understanding of basic RF and electronics theory . Hands-on experience troubleshooting, repairing, testing, upgrading, or programming electronic equipment. Experience using electronic or telecommunications test equipment, including: Digital Volt Meter (DVM) / Multimeter Service Monitor Watt Meter Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on troubleshooting abilities. Proficiency with Windows-based applications . Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Google Docs . Strong technical documentation and record-keeping skills. Good written and verbal communication skills. Ability to follow detailed technical procedures and work effectively in a team environment. Ability to lift up to 25 lbs . Must be able to speak, read, and write English. Must be a U.S. Citizen.
