•48 per hour, plus performance pay — see Compensation below Why this role exists Right now, when a metro DMV homeowner has a collapsed or root-choked sewer lateral, the answer is almost always the same: dig up the yard, cut the driveway, and hand them a five-figure invoice. We're done with that being the only option for both us and the customer. We're now standing up a dedicated Sewer & Drain division at Tim Whistler Plumbing built around trenchless repair — CIPP lining, sectional point repairs, and pipe bursting — and we're looking for the person who will run it in the field from day one. This is a founding role. You will not be inheriting somebody else's crew, somebody else's process, or somebody else's mistakes. About Tim Whistler Plumbing We're an established residential and light-commercial plumbing, HVAC and electrical company serving Silver Spring and the surrounding Montgomery County and DC communities. We're part of a growing multi-company home services group, which means two things for you: the capital to buy real equipment instead of making do, and a genuine path to run a department rather than a truck. We run ServiceTitan, we dispatch professionally, and we pay on time, every time. What success looks like at 12 months A year in, Tim Whistler Plumbing has a trenchless offering that our service plumbers can confidently sell, a lining truck that's booked out, and documented processes for scoping, quoting, and installing lateral rehabilitation work. You've trained at least one technician and/or apprentice behind you. Homeowners in Montgomery County and surrounding counties who get a "you need a full dig" quote from a competitor are calling us for the second opinion — and we're winning that call because your camera footage and your explanation are better. What you'll own Trenchless installation. Perform CIPP lateral and main-to-lateral repairs end to end — cleaning and prep, measurement, wet-out, inversion or pull-in-place, ambient/hot water/steam or UV cure, lateral reinstatement, and post-installation verification. Diagnosis that holds up. Run CCTV inspection and line locating, identify offsets, bellies, root intrusion, cracked clay, and Orangeburg, and produce clean video documentation the homeowner can actually understand. Traditional drain work too. Hydro jetting, descaling, cabling, cleanout installation, and spot excavation when trenchless isn't the right call — because part of your job is knowing when it isn't. Building the department. Help us spec the equipment package, build flat-rate pricing for lining work in our Pricebook, and write the SOPs and QC standards (pre

Own Miss Utility 811 tickets, WSSC permitting and inspection coordination, and county right-of-way requirements so jobs don't stall. Training the bench. Bring our service plumbers up to speed on identifying lining candidates in the field, and mentor the technicians we hire behind you. What we're looking forRequired Hands-on experience installing CIPP liners — you've done wet-outs, run an inversion drum or pull-in-place setup, and cured liners in real residential laterals, not just in a training class Experience running sewer camera and locating equipment and interpreting what you're seeing Experience with hydro jetting, cabling, and root/scale removal A valid driver's license and a clean driving record Comfort working in confined, dirty, and physically demanding conditions — this is real field work The ability to explain a repair to a homeowner in plain language, without talking down to them Preferred A plumbing license from any state — helpful, but not required. You'll work under our WSSC-licensed master plumber, and we'll support you if you want to pursue your own NASSCO certification —

PACP/LACP

for inspection, or ITCP for CIPP Pipe bursting experience (HammerHead, TRIC, or similar) Familiarity with major lining systems — Perma-Liner, Nu Flow, LMK, Picote, or comparable OSHA 10/30, confined space entry, or trench safety competent person training Experience with ServiceTitan or a similar field service platform Prior lead, foreman, or crew chief experience We know the full list is rare in one person. If you can line pipe and you can be trusted in front of a customer, apply — we'll build the rest around you. You do not need to hold a Maryland or WSSC license to do this work with us. If you're an experienced liner coming from another market, we handle the credentialing side.

Compensation and benefits Base wage:
