Job Description

Service Technician Job Summary:
A local battery distributor is seeking a Service Technician to assist their team. The role requires flexibility, a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to adapt quickly in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Service Technician Responsibilities:
Work on-site at the shop Work in the field at customer locations Learn how to do basic repairs on utility or industrial vehicles have a solid working knowledge of AC and DC power Be competent using a voltmeter Test batteries and record results Check acid adjustments on battery cells Install battery monitoring devices Be comfortable with drills, saws and other industrial hand tools Be comfortable working around heavy machinery (forklifts and industrial vehicles). Be confident in their abilities to handle field repairs, sometimes having limited space or resources based upon the customer's location Understand functioning and testing of electrical components (diodes, resistors, contactors, batteries and electric motors) Be comfortable using an overhead hoist
Schedule and Pay:
1st shift: 7:00am- 3:30pm (Monday-Friday) $20.00/
HR Service Technician Qualifications:
Have a valid Michigan Driver's License- Driver's License shall be in good standing, not revoked and have no limitations, with minimal to no points during the entire course of employment Willing to obtain a chauffeur's license Perform basic math skills and solve simple equations Lift truck & Warehouse experience helpful Be comfortable using a computer (experience with spreadsheets a plus) We value your privacy!
