Agricultural Service Technician Burnips Equipment is a family-owned farm equipment dealership that sells and services multiple lines of agricultural equipment throughout West Michigan. We proudly represent industry-leading brands including New Holland, Claas, Meyer, Kuhn, and several other equipment manufacturers. We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Agricultural Service Technician to join our Service Repair Team. This position offers the opportunity to work on a wide variety of agricultural equipment while helping our customers minimize downtime and maximize productivity. Position Summary As an Agricultural Service Technician, you will diagnose, repair, and maintain agricultural equipment while ensuring repairs are completed safely, efficiently, and according to manufacturer specifications. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, enjoys troubleshooting complex systems, and takes pride in delivering quality workmanship. Responsibilities Troubleshoot and repair electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, and drivetrain systems on agricultural equipment. Diagnose equipment issues and provide accurate estimates for required parts and labor. Perform inspections and identify preventative maintenance opportunities to help reduce customer downtime. Complete repairs according to OEM service manuals and manufacturer specifications. Collaborate with the Parts Department to identify and source the correct parts needed for repairs. Conduct equipment testing to verify repairs and proper operation. Maintain accurate and detailed service reports documenting diagnostics, repairs, and recommendations. Work independently and collaboratively as part of a service team. Follow all company safety procedures and industry best practices. Qualifications Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills. Experience diagnosing and repairing agricultural, diesel, heavy equipment, construction, or similar machinery preferred. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and service information. Strong organizational and communication skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple repair projects. Willingness to participate in manufacturer online and classroom training programs. Valid driver's license required. Tools & Training Candidates must provide their own standard hand tools. Burnips Equipment provides specialized service tools and diagnostic equipment.
