Role:
Thayer Marine is seeking an experienced and motivated Marine Technician to join our growing service team. We are a large Yamaha, BRP jet (Scarab) and Mercury dealership offering factory training during the off-season and year-round work on a wide range of marine engines.
Key Responsibilities:
Diagnose, service, and repair all makes of outboard engines, stern drives, and inboard engines Perform routine maintenance and complex mechanical repairs Work independently and efficiently while maintaining a high standard of workmanship Attend manufacturer-sponsored service schools when available Maintain a clean and organized work environment
Requirements:
Minimum of 2 years marine mechanical experience Proficiency with diagnostic tools and mechanical systems Must own a complete set of tools Valid driver's license Willingness to travel for training as needed Certifications from Yamaha, Mercury, or other marine engine manufacturers are highly valued
