Job Description

AVL Test Systems Inc offers a job in the United States (US) as Service Technician - Intern AVL Test Systems, Inc. is hiring for a Service Technician Intern! This is an exciting opportunity to grow your skills while supporting a fast-paced, collaborative team. As a Service Technician Intern, you will receive hands-on training across AVL systems and gain valuable, real-world experience in a variety of technical areas. In this role, you'll contribute to multiple functions, including equipment repair, calibration, maintenance, and data entry—building a strong foundation in both electrical and mechanical systems. This position is ideal for someone eager to learn, develop technical expertise, and work in an innovative automotive environment.
What You'll Bring:
Strong communication skills and a proactive, positive attitude Basic knowledge of electrical and mechanical repair Experience or interest in automotive systems (preferred) Experience with emissions testing and automotive applications (required) Excellent attention to detail and a willingness to learn and grow You'll be part of a dynamic, team-oriented environment where collaboration is key. The ability to work effectively with others and contribute to a supportive team culture is essential for success in this role. Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. Employer will not sponsor an applicant for a work visa for this position.
ROLES:
Calibrate, perform preventative and corrective maintenance of AVL equipment. Able to wire control devices and verify operation. Assists in the evaluation and repair of AVL equipment. Assists in test equipment installation, configuration, maintenance and calibration. Actively participate in developing one's own training plan and exhibit ownership in completing training. Provide feedback of troubleshooting guides and continuous improvement methods to increase operating equipment effectiveness (O.E.E.). Record and document calibrations, diagnostic and performance test results, records maintenance activities, and documents while accurately maintaining shift logs. Professional and timely submittal of timesheets, calibration reports, and other administrative responsibilities. Complete all applicable safety training.
