GEAR HEAD NEEDED!
We are looking for a confident marine mechanic/engine builder who takes pride in their work and is looking for an opportunity to develop and grow within our high-performance business. Experience is needed. The ideal candidate will be dedicated, flexible employee with a solid work ethic, good communication skills and a positive attitude who thrives on working in a challenging and fast-paced environment. This position requires an individual that is professional, team-oriented, and able to take direction while working independently. Tool ownership is a plus and you should have toolbox and hand tools beforehand.
Responsibilities:
- Perform boat inspections and diagnose mechanical issues
- Repair and replace faulty components, such as engines, transmissions, and outdrives
- Conduct routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, drive service, and filter replacements
- Use precision measuring instruments to ensure accurate repairs
- Weld and fabricate sheet metal as needed
- Assemble and disassemble boat parts
- Utilize hand tools and power tools to complete repairs
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Mechanic or similar role
- Strong mechanical knowledge and aptitude
- Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments
- Ability to weld and fabricate sheet metal
- Familiarity with hand tools and power tools
- Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Strong communication skills
