Service Technician - Windows & Doors Position Overview We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused Service Technician to join our windows and doors team. The ideal candidate will diagnose, repair, and maintain residential and/or commercial window and door products while delivering an excellent customer experience. This role requires strong technical abilities, problem-solving skills, and a professional, service-oriented approach. Key Responsibilities Perform service, repair, and adjustment of windows, doors, patio sliders, screens, hardware, weatherstripping, and related components. Diagnose issues such as improper installation, product malfunction, seal failures, leaks, drafts, operational problems, and hardware defects. Conduct on-site service calls at customer homes or job sites. Complete warranty and non-warranty repairs according to company and manufacturer standards. Install replacement parts, glass units, locks, rollers, hinges, and other hardware. Communicate clearly with customers regarding the nature of issues, required repairs, and maintenance recommendations. Document work performed, parts used, and service outcomes in company systems. Maintain company tools, equipment, and service vehicle in clean and safe condition. Collaborate with installation and production teams to ensure proper product performance. Follow all safety protocols, comply with building codes, and company policies. Qualifications Experience in window and door service, installation, carpentry, or related field preferred. Measure and install / replace interior trim and bend and install exterior coil Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills. Ability to read tape measures, technical manuals, and basic construction drawings. Competent using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment. Good communication and customer-service skills. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Ability to lift 50-75 lbs and work on ladders as needed. Preferred Skills Experience with specific window/door brands or glazing systems. Experience with a Brake Basic computer skills Knowledge of residential construction, building envelopes, and basic carpentry. Familiarity with warranty processes and field service documentation.
