We are looking for a dependable Commercial Door Technician to install, service, repair, and maintain commercial garage doors, pedestrian doors, automatic entrances, hollow metal doors, storefront systems, frames, hardware, and related equipment. This position is ideal for a skilled tradesperson who enjoys solving mechanical problems, working directly with customers, and taking pride in doing the job right the first time. In this role, you will help ensure customer entrances and door systems operate safely, reliably, and in compliance with applicable standards. You'll work independently and as part of a collaborative team while representing the company with professionalism, clear communication, and a customer-first mindset.

As a service technician, you will: Install, service, repair, and maintain commercial pedestrian doors, automatic doors, frames, and hardware Perform planned and preventative maintenance to ensure proper operation. Conduct routine safety inspections and confirm compliance with national safety standards. Diagnose mechanical issues and perform adjustments, repairs, or replacements as needed. Read and interpret door schedules, installation instructions, and diagrams. Operate hand tools, power tools, lifts, and other equipment safely and effectively. Follow all safety procedures, job site rules, and company policies. Perform other duties as assigned.
What we are looking for:
High school degree or equivalent required. Commercial door, automatic door, garage door, or related skilled trade experience required; 3-5 years of commercial door installation and repair experience preferred. Trade school or relevant hands-on trade experience strongly preferred. Ability to read and interpret diagrams, blueprints, installation specifications, technical manuals, and door schedules. Customer-focused mindset with clear, professional communication skills. Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to work with hand and power tools. Valid driver's license and proof of auto insurance required. Ability to travel between job sites travel and on-call weekend work. Frequently lift, carry, push, and pull doors, frames, glass, and equipment weighing up to 100 pounds (with assistance as required). Regularly bend, stoop, squat, kneel, crouch, and reach overhead during installation and service activities. Climb ladders, stairs, lifts, and scaffolding to install or service doors and hardware. Stand and walk for prolonged periods throughout the workday. Perform repetitive motions and sustain physical effort using hand and power tools. Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions. Safely work at heights and around moving mechanical components.
