Brite WorX - Service Technician Wallis Companies - 3.3 Rock Hill, MO Job Details 9 hours ago Qualifications Computer operation Customer communication High school diploma or GED Decision making Productivity software Full Job Description SUMMARY The Service Technician will ensure the highest possible support necessary for car wash equipment installation and maintenance, and all supporting equipment for the operations of a tunnel car wash. The Service Technician is responsible for performing regular and recurring maintenance, installation of equipment, and preventive maintenance. The Service Technician's level will be determined by their ability to perform specific tasks as defined on the Job Task Analysis.

RESPONSIBILITIES BY COMPETENCY

  • denotes an essential function of the position) Business Results Orientation Ensure work orders are accurately completed at the end of every service call.

Track vehicle maintenance; schedule and have regular maintenance tasks performed to reduce the likelihood of costly emergency repairs. Maintain work area, vehicle and equipment in a clean and orderly condition while following all safety regulations. Schedule time to maximize repair time and reduce drive time. Maintain and regulate existing car wash equipment. Maintain an excellent driving record and follow Vehicle Use Policy while in a Company vehicle. Ask questions to understand Balanced Scorecard (BSC) and understand his/her contribution to the BSC. Perform diagnosis as requested and perform repairs within scope of capabilities and time constraints Maintain regular attendance and follow designated safety practices. Perform other duties not listed as required. Communication Report to the Operations Manager, any equipment issues that will result in the expenditure of funds above and beyond what is acceptable. Communicate to Operations Manager any customer service issues or any potential safety hazards. Report any personal injuries or any damage done to company property or vehicles within policy timeframes. Effectively communicate repair status to location Manager and Operations Manager. Customer Service Orientation Provide on-call and after hours service when needed. Exhibit a professional, customer friendly and helpful attitude while on the job. Report to work in company approved uniform. Finish each call with an explanation of the repair and a completed service ticket. Performs on-site inventory and keep replacement items stocked, both in service vehicle and at wash locations. Perform repair tasks in a manner that reduces wash downtime and customer wash process. Developing Talent Treat fellow workers with respect and work to consistently produce high quality results. Bring forward operational efficiency ideas to the Operations Manager and/or the BSC team. Attend continuing education workshops, seminars and study manuals pertaining to job classification. Stay abreast of current trends in the industry. Develops and maintains skills necessary to be successful in this position. Safety Attend and participate in safety meetings. Ensure all protocols are followed in the event of an accident. Work diligently to correct safety deficiencies in a timely manner. Report all work-related injuries and/or property damage accidents immediately. Complete safety training required. Inform supervisor of unsafe conditions and behaviors, and recommend solutions to correct or eliminate them. Maintain required driver's license and drive defensively. Technical Expertise Repair and install car wash equipment. Repair or replace defective parts. Dismantle devices to gain access to and remove defective parts. Adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments. Ensure work orders are completed with a detail description regarding services performed. Maintain an excellent driving record and follow Vehicle Use Policy while in a Company vehicle. Observe mechanical devices in operation and listens to sounds to locate causes of trouble. Use considerable judgment when performing and planning to perform task. Must have a basic knowledge of Microsoft Office products.

Experience:

    1+ years as a service technician

    Language Skills:

    Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English in a manner that is sufficient for effective communication with groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public

    Skills and Abilities:

    Ability to use judgment to plan, perform and make decisions as to the sequence of set-ups, operations and processes, including minor modifications to pre-programmed computer routines with the limits of recognized or standard methods or practices.
