About the Role As a Mobile Equipment Service Technician, you will serve as a critical technical expert responsible for ensuring the operational readiness of heavy-duty lifting and material handling machinery. You will leverage your expertise in hydraulics and electrical diagnostics to minimize downtime and provide high-quality repairs directly at customer job sites. Responsibilities Execute complex field repairs and advanced troubleshooting on articulating cranes, truck-mounted forklifts, and heavy-duty conveyor systems. Drive equipment reliability by performing rigorous preventive maintenance schedules and mandatory annual safety inspections. Provide rapid-response support for emergency mechanical failures to ensure customer productivity remains uninterrupted. Translate technical mechanical requirements into clear, actionable communication for fleet managers and site supervisors. Manage the full service lifecycle, including accurate documentation of work orders, parts procurement, and inventory tracking. Uphold the highest standards of safety by strictly adhering to all state and federal regulatory guidelines. Maintain a professional, organized mobile workspace and company vehicle to ensure efficient service delivery. Qualifications Required Skills Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in heavy equipment maintenance, specifically with cranes or forklifts. Advanced proficiency in mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical system diagnostics. Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting 75+ lbs and working in diverse outdoor environmental conditions. Valid driver's license with the ability to obtain a CDL within 60 days. Strong technical communication skills and the ability to document repairs accurately. Preferred Skills Demonstrated experience with welding and structural component repair. Prior experience in a field-based service role managing independent work schedules. Proficiency in reading and interpreting complex technical schematics and service manuals.
