Job Purpose:

The Automotive Collision Technician at Deacon Jones Auto Group is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and restoring vehicles to their pre-accident condition. This role requires expertise in collision repair techniques, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship to ensure customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform thorough inspections of damaged vehicles to assess the extent of damage and determine necessary repairs. Utilize advanced diagnostic tools and techniques to identify structural and cosmetic issues. Execute repair plans, including disassembly, repair, and reassembly of vehicle components, ensuring all work meets industry standards. Collaborate with other technicians and service advisors to provide accurate repair estimates and timelines. Maintain a clean and organized work environment to ensure safety and efficiency. Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols while operating equipment and handling materials. Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to enhance repair processes and techniques. Communicate effectively with customers to explain repair procedures and provide updates on progress. Document all repairs and services performed, ensuring accuracy and completeness for record-keeping and billing purposes. Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities to continuously improve skills and knowledge in collision repair.

Required Education:

High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a postsecondary program in automotive technology is preferred.

Preferred Experience:

Minimum of 2 years of experience in automotive collision repair. Proven track record of working with various vehicle makes and models. Experience with using diagnostic tools and repair equipment specific to collision repair.
