Who You Are:
You are a hands-on, customer-focused service professional with experience in the repair and maintenance of commercial refrigeration equipment. You are comfortable troubleshooting equipment, resolving technical issues, coordinating field service activities, and working in time-sensitive situations. You are able to communicate effectively with customers, service providers, sales representatives, engineers, and internal teams. You have the ability to remain professional and composed when dealing with customer concerns, equipment failures, emergencies, and other challenging situations. You are also comfortable working independently in the field while managing multiple priorities and coordinating the efforts of third-party service technicians and providers.
What You'll Do:
- Serve as a liaison between customers, inside sales, product and manufacturing engineering teams, service providers, and Arneg's Canadian sister company for Canadian products distributed by Arneg USA.
- Coordinate with the Sales team and customers to understand requirements for on-site installations, repairs, troubleshooting, and service activities.
- Review equipment layouts, identify performance issues, gather required materials, and coordinate on-site work either remotely from the office or directly at the customer location.
- Respond to incoming service calls and coordinate technical support activities to return equipment to proper operating condition while minimizing repeat service calls.
- Troubleshoot commercial refrigerated display cases, cabinets, and related refrigeration equipment.
- Provide technical guidance and support to customers and third-party service technicians.
- Train and develop third-party service technicians on Arneg products, installation procedures, troubleshooting, and technical requirements as appropriate.
- Identify, select, and manage relationships with third-party service providers.
- Develop scopes of work and work authorizations for third-party service providers.
- Review and approve service invoices to ensure work has been completed in accordance with approved requirements.
- Coordinate and support equipment installation, service, repair, and start-up activities.
- Participate in emergency service calls and time-sensitive service activities, including nights, weekends, and holidays as business needs require.
- Review and document information obtained during field service activities for quality control and quality assurance purposes.
- Maintain accurate company quality and service records with assistance from the Service Coordinator.
- Perform quality engineering reviews of operation and installation documentation to ensure compliance with stated requirements.
- Provide recommendations to improve future product designs based on service findings and field performance.
- Work with the Engineering team to develop new approaches and solutions to problems identified during service activities.
- Maintain current knowledge of Arneg products, including installation, operation, maintenance, service, repair, and control systems.
- Review contract documents and conduct job surveys as required.
- Develop and maintain strong, professional customer relationships.
- Communicate service issues, trends, and opportunities for improvement to appropriate internal teams.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
What You'll Bring to the
Table:
High school diploma or GED required. 2-5 years of experience in the repair and maintenance of commercial refrigeration equipment, including remote and self-contained systems. Strong understanding of commercial refrigeration components, refrigerated display cases, refrigeration systems, and food retailer operations. Hands-on approach to diagnosing, evaluating, troubleshooting, and resolving commercial refrigeration equipment issues. Ability to evaluate and report critical equipment performance data. Ability to manage and coordinate the work of other field service professionals and third-party service providers. Strong customer service and relationship-building skills. Ability to remain professional and composed when handling customer crises and time-sensitive situations. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications. Proficiency using handheld technology such as smartphones, tablets, and iPads. Willingness and ability to travel approximately 40-50% as business needs require. Willingness and ability to participate in installations, emergency service calls, and other field activities that may require overnight travel, nights, weekends, and holidays. Valid driver's license with no major traffic violations, license suspensions, or DUI convictions within the previous five years. Must be legally authorized to permanently work in the United States. Must be able to work at the Arneg USA facility in Lexington, NC.
Physical Requirements:
This position requires regular use of hands and fingers, walking, standing, stooping, bending, kneeling, and working in various field and customer environments. The employee must be able to regularly lift and/or move items weighing up to 10 pounds, lift and/or move items weighing up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move items weighing more than 50 pounds. The position requires the ability to work on ladders and perform service activities in and around commercial refrigeration equipment. Pay:
$50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
