Mobile Fuel Service Technician - Fuel Up Wilmington LLC Fuel Up Wilmington is looking for a dependable, professional, and motivated Mobile Service Technician to join our growing team. We provide convenient mobile fuel delivery throughout the Wilmington and surrounding coastal areas, serving individual vehicles, boats, and commercial fleets . This is a unique position that combines driving, customer service, and hands-on work. The technician will operate a company truck and trailer, travel to customer locations, and safely and accurately deliver fuel to vehicles, boats, and fleet customers. Our business operates on customer demand, so flexibility is important . Work hours and daily schedules can vary depending on customer needs, weather, seasonality, and scheduled deliveries. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys being on the road, working independently, meeting customers, and having a workday that isn't the same every day. The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-conscious, detail-oriented, comfortable operating a truck and trailer, and takes pride in providing excellent customer service. Experience with fuel delivery is helpful but not required; we will provide training to the right candidate. Key Duties & Responsibilities Safely operate a company truck and trailer to provide mobile fuel delivery. Deliver fuel to individual vehicles, boats, and commercial fleet customers . Safely connect and operate fueling equipment and follow all required safety procedures. Accurately verify the customer's vehicle, boat, or equipment and the type and amount of fuel being delivered. Maintain close attention to detail when completing deliveries, documenting fuel amounts, and processing customer information. Provide friendly, professional, and reliable customer service at every delivery. Communicate with customers regarding delivery times, locations, fuel needs, and any questions they may have. Navigate to a variety of customer locations, including residential properties, businesses, marinas, boat ramps, and docks. Safely maneuver and park a truck and trailer in a variety of locations and conditions. Perform basic daily inspections of the company vehicle, trailer, and fueling equipment. Keep the truck, trailer, and equipment clean, organized, and in good working condition. Follow all company procedures and applicable safety and fuel-handling requirements. Complete required paperwork, delivery records, and other documentation accurately. Communicate with the Fuel Up Wilmington team throughout the day regarding deliveries and customer needs. Help with basic loading, equipment setup, and other operational tasks as needed. Represent Fuel Up Wilmington professionally while interacting with customers and the public. Be willing to work flexible hours based on customer demand and scheduled deliveries. Maintain a dependable attendance record and arrive on time for scheduled deliveries. Work independently while also being a reliable member of the team. Qualifications & Requirements Valid driver's license and clean driving record . Ability and willingness to drive a truck and trailer safely. Comfortable backing, maneuvering, and parking a trailer. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow safety procedures. Dependable, responsible, and punctual. Professional appearance and positive attitude. Strong customer service and communication skills. Able to work independently and make good decisions in the field. Comfortable working outdoors and in varying weather conditions. Able to lift, carry, and handle equipment as needed. Willingness to learn proper fuel-handling procedures and company safety requirements. Must be comfortable with a work schedule that can vary from day to day. Previous experience with delivery driving, trucks/trailers, boats, equipment, or fuel service is a plus but not required.
Pay:
$15.00 - $18.00 per hour
