Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Drone Repair Technician to join our team. The Drone Repair Technician diagnoses, repairs, tests, and maintains drones, related components, and supporting equipment according to company and manufacturer standards. Responsibilities Diagnose mechanical, electrical, software, and system-related issues. Repair and maintain drones, controllers, batteries, payloads, charging equipment, and agricultural application systems. Perform component replacements, firmware updates, calibrations, and adjustments. Use diagnostic and testing equipment, including ohmmeters and other applicable tools. Test completed repairs to verify proper operation and quality. Follow manufacturer specifications, technical documentation, and company procedures. Identify warranty eligibility by verifying serial numbers, flight logs, and purchase dates against manufacturer coverage policies. Submit and track warranty claims through manufacturer portals, including submitting required diagnostic flight logs, photos, and repair narratives within required timeframes. Manage defective parts inventory by tagging, organizing, and securely storing failed components for manufacturer return or audit compliance. Complete assigned work accurately and within expected turnaround times. Communicate delays, parts needs, and unusual issues promptly. Document diagnostics, repairs, parts used, labor time, and testing completed. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Provide professional assistance to customers and coworkers. Perform other duties as assigned based on business needs. Qualifications & Skills Mechanical, electrical, electronics, UAS, automotive, equipment-repair, or related experience preferred. Experience with warranty workflows, including navigating manufacturer service portals and exporting drone flight data or logs for claim verification, is a strong plus. Strong technical aptitude and troubleshooting ability. Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment. Ability to effectively use computers, mobile devices, diagnostic software, and other technology required for repairs, documentation, and communication. Ability to read and follow technical documentation and manufacturer specifications. Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management. Ability to work independently and cooperatively with others. Willingness to learn new drone platforms, systems, and repair procedures.
Pay:
$22.00 - $27.00 per hour
