Who we are AVDI is an AV, security and telecom integrator based in Valhalla, NY. We design, install, and keep running the systems our partners count on every day: access control, cameras, intrusion and intercom, conference rooms and displays, copper and fiber cabling, and in-building wireless. We're a tight team, which means your work gets noticed, your ideas get heard, and you'll never be a number on a dispatch board. The job You're the one we send when something is broken and the partner needs it fixed right the first time. You'll run your own day, backed by a Service Coordinator who keeps your schedule sane and an engineering team you can call when a problem is outside your lane. No two days look alike, and that's the point. What you'll do Troubleshoot and repair access control, video surveillance, intrusion, and intercom systems Get conference rooms, displays, audio, and control systems back online, then figure out why they went down Test, certify, and repair copper and fiber cabling, and in-building wireless Swap failed gear, load firmware, set network settings, and prove it works before you leave Run preventive maintenance visits under our AVDCare service agreements Write up each visit in our ticketing system so the next tech (maybe you) knows what happened Take your turn on the on-call rotation You'll fit here if You have 5+ years hands-on with commercial low voltage systems, in security, AV, or structured cabling, in any mix, with real depth in at least one You hold manufacturer certifications or the training to back up your skills You can read a riser diagram, an AV signal flow drawing, or a cabling schedule and know where to start You're comfortable on IP networks (VLANs, PoE, addressing) and with AV control and DSP platforms You can explain a technical problem to someone who isn't technical without making them feel small You have a current OSHA SST, a valid driver's license You meet New York State requirements for installing and servicing security systems What we offer Pay range: $30 to $50 per hour depending on experience Medical, dental, and vision coverage after 90 days 401(k) Paid holidays, vacation, and personal/sick days Company vehicle Manufacturer training and certifications on us!
