Key Responsibilities Troubleshooting & Diagnosis:
Test malfunctioning systems using specialized diagnostic tools, software, or multimeters to find the root cause of failures.
Repair & Replacement:
Disassemble broken units, replace worn parts (like gears, belts, or valves), and reassemble or overhaul major components.
Preventive Maintenance:
Conduct scheduled inspections, clean parts, lubricate moving components, and calibrate systems to prevent unexpected breakdowns.
Installation & Setup:
Uncrate, align, and connect new machinery or hardware according to manufacturer specifications.
Record Keeping:
Log all service calls, parts used, and maintenance checks into a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) or service logs.
Customer/User Support:
Explain technical issues or provide operating instructions to clients and coworkers in a clear, non-technical way. Qualifications Proven experience working in Equipment Service shops or field maintenance environments with strong mechanical knowledge. Hands-on experience with boom lift, scissor lift, telehandler and dirt equipment systems, powered by diesel engines, hydraulics, with the requirements of pneumatics, welding, and electrical troubleshooting. Familiarity with hydraulic and electrical schematics, electrical blueprints reading, and troubleshooting industrial control systems.. Ability to use precision measuring instruments like voltmeters, ammeters, ohmmeters, schematics tools, pressure measurements and multimeters effectively. Knowledge of high voltage (HV) and low voltage electrical systems along with safety procedures for working with electrical equipment with 12V and 24V DC systems. Strong analysis skills combined with excellent customer service orientation to communicate technical information clearly to team members and clients. Certification or experience in mechanical service work or related technical fields is preferred.
