Our corporate U.S. headquarters is in Cincinnati, Ohio, however this position will be based anywhere in the southeast U.S. The Service Technician is responsible for providing the best possible customer experience for Fastems customers by ensuring that expectations are met and service to their machinery is done in the most appropriate, efficient way to maximize their productivity and production goals.
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide service support on Fastems equipment at customer sites in the U.S., Canada and Mexico. Attend breakdowns and resolve customer challenges onsite. Support installation of new capital equipment. Communication liaison between customer, Head of Service, and service department. Cooperate with all office/administrative support to deliver service solutions. Effective communicator and brand ambassador for Fastems products and organization. Assess complex technical requirements of end customer and advise on suitable solutions. Deployment of new business functions within territory (Service Cloud, ERP Roll Out, OPU etc.)
SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED
Experience in field service with the ability to travel frequently overnight to customer sites for multiple days/nights. Ability to operate in a high precision production environment at our customers' sites. Professional and personable with the ability to engage in a customer-focused environment. Approach tasks with tenacity and initiative, with a can-do attitude to fulfill customers' requests. Highly organized, utilizing good time management with an independent personality able to manage own workload effectively. The successful candidate will have the drive, ambition and potential to progress. Valid driver's license & passport
MINIMUM EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Electro/Mechanical fault finding from a service/maintenance environment. Experience of CNC, robotics and automation systems is desirable but not essential. Skills set to be backed up with academic qualifications or time served. Computer literate with knowledge of software and windows-based systems. Vocational experience in service/maintenance role
