Job Description
SUMMARY Repairs, installs and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment such as mechanical masts, pneumatic masts, electro mechanical masts, lighting masts, on site and customer locations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
include the following.- Requires up to 25% travel (as needed) the majority being in the United States with the possibility of some overseas travel.
- Observes mechanical devices in operation and listens to their sounds to locate causes of trouble.
- Dismantles devices to gain access to and remove defective parts.
- Examines form and texture of parts to detect imperfections.
- Inspects used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements.
- Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments.
- Repairs or replaces defective parts.
- Installs special functional and structural parts in devices.
- Lubricates and cleans parts.
- Starts devices to test their performance.
- Basic knowledge in use of tools and machinery such as hand drills, drill presses, grinders, welders.
- Allocates parts to job orders to create demand for ordering of parts.
- Travels to customer locations for repairs and installations.
- Pulls and packages orders for spare parts orders to be shipped to customer locations.
- Other duties may be assigned.
