Job Description

Looking for a professional, experienced, and service oriented maintenance technician to be a part of my busy team! This will be a 1099, independent contractor position for which we will provide daily work (MINIMUM 20 hours per week to start and could grow into a full time position) to be completed under specified parameters primarily servicing property owners (investors), property management companies, real estate professionals and homeowners.
REQUIREMENTS
(please read thoroughly):
  • Must be willing to drive from property-to-property (not a single site maintenance position)
  • Strong problem solver with a very solid understanding of maintenance (see below)

A substantial amount of work is being performed in tenant occupied homes so, as a forward facing technician, you'll need to represent yourself as such.
COMPENSATION
$30/hour + weekly gas stipend. Weekly pay will be delivered by electronic transfer weekly on Fridays (NOT daily); must bank with a bank which accepts Zelle (online funds transfer).
SKILLS NEEDED
  • Good at both drywall repair and painting (minimum "B" caliber)
  • General plumbing (faucets, shower cartridges, shower spigots, garbage disposals, drains, etc)
  • Basic electrical (replace outlets, ceiling fans, light fixtures, etc)
  • Flooring i.e. install vinyl plank, glue down vinyl/laminate, install quarter round/trim
  • Install locks, door knobs
  • Install blinds or other window/door treatments i.e. vertical or horizontal blinds
  • Basic landscaping
  • Additional basic maintenance as necessary i.e. small repairs to roof sheathing inside attics, small siding repairs, fabricate/rebuild drawers/cabinet faces (light carpentry), rescreening window screens/doors, remove and install windows as needed
  • Additional tasks based on technician's abilities
VEHICLE:
Must have your own vehicle suitable for transporting materials (ideally a truck or van), a valid driver's license and no past legal issues precluding you from entering a property or which will create an insurance issue. Will be paid a weekly gas stipend.
TOOLS:
Must possess a significant variety of your own tools to do a wide variety of jobs. Can furnish some equipment (purchase or rent) under certain conditions (to be determined by BHLS owner).
