Position:

Watch Technician I Reports to: Watchmaker / Shop Manager General Description The basic function of the Watch Technician I is to assist the Watchmaker with estimating and quality check supported timepieces. This position also orders / maintains watchmaking-related parts, interfaces with customers, and advises staff on watch service-related questions or actions. Qualifications

Experience in luxury retail, or diamond, jewelry & Swiss timepiece sales is a plus
Excellent time management, multi-tasking and prioritizing skills.
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
Strong collaboration skills and a positive attitude.
Strong Desire to learn and develop new skills.
Attention to detail and precision is a must.
Proven track record of trustworthiness and integrity.
Ability to understand the vision and values of the firm.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities I. Customer Service A. Communicate the estimated repair cost/time to the customer. B. Provide overall customer service support when necessary. C. Intake repairs. D. Order link bracelet parts for customers. II. Watch Repair A. Refinish cases and bracelets. B. Perform simple and quick repairs C. Watch case disassembly and assembly. D. Replace watch batteries and adjust bracelets. E. Pressure test and Time Test F. Update Edge with watch repair status and interaction with customer notes. G. Parts - review approved services for parts needed, order parts, check status H. Watch Diagnosing III. Maintenance A. Clean equipment, parts, or tools to repair or maintain them in good working order. B. Monitor equipment to ensure optimal performance. C. Maintain a clean and organized workspace. IV. Miscellaneous A. Interface with customers, staff, and watch companies. B. Perform all duties with courtesy, friendliness, and enthusiasm. C. Adhere to rules, regulations, and firm policies, present and future that are published for employees D. Prioritize your work and maintain high quality standards. E. Strive to accomplish department goals. F. Continue to look for ways to elevate the overall customer experience. G. Attend and participate in company meetings
