Job Description
A-1 Garage Door and Gutter is a family-owned home service company looking for a dependable and hardworking installer/service technician. This position involves installing, repairing, and servicing garage doors, gutters, and retractable awnings throughout the Willamette Valley. We are looking for someone with construction experience who is comfortable working with tools, climbing ladders, solving problems, and working directly with customers. Experience with garage doors, gutters, or awnings is helpful but not required—we are willing to provide product-specific training to the right person. Responsibilities Install, service, and repair garage doors and garage door openers Install, clean, repair, and replace gutters Install and service retractable awnings and exterior shades Safely use ladders, power tools, and construction equipment Load, unload, and transport tools and materials Diagnose problems and complete repairs efficiently Keep company vehicles and job sites clean and organized Communicate professionally with customers and coworkers Follow company procedures and job-site safety requirements Requirements Valid Oregon driver's license Acceptable driving record and ability to be insured to drive company vehicles No recent DUI or other serious driving violations Previous construction, installation, maintenance, or home-service experience Must provide your own basic hand and power tools Comfortable working on ladders and at heights Able to regularly lift at least 50 pounds and assist with items weighing up to 100+ pounds Dependable transportation to our shop in Scio Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently Good communication and customer-service skills Able to work outdoors in changing weather conditions What We Offer $20-$25 per hour, depending on experience Full-time work, typically 30-40 hours per week Training on garage doors, gutters, awnings, and exterior shades Variety of work and job locations Opportunity to grow with an established family-owned company
