Housekeeping Aide-1st Shift (Part time)

RESPONSIBLE TO:
Director Facilities Management or Designee
DEFINITION
: Under the supervision of the Director of Facilities Management, is responsible for providing a sanitary, comfortable, and safe environment for the residents in the facility. Is also responsible, through good housekeeping practices, to help prevent the development and spread of infection.
QUALIFICATIONS
Must possess, as a minimum, a high school diploma. On-the-job training provided. Satisfactory personal and employment references.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform routine housekeeping services which include the cleaning of furniture, equipment, floors, walls, windows, toilets, mirrors, sinks, etc., and the emptying of waste baskets and other trash receptacles. Work in laundry department as assigned. Report broken equipment or safety concerns/hazards to director. Assist in keeping residents' rooms clean and orderly. Perform project cleaning as requested. This may include windows, grounds, wheelchairs, stripping and waxing of floors, etc. Maintaining good relationships with residents, visitors, and other staff. Provide for safety of residents and other staff. Attend in-service programs as requested. Work hours as assigned, Every other weekend required. Be prompt, courteous, and helpful at all times. Other related duties as assigned.
