Are you mechanically inclined but ready for a change? JC Overhead Door is looking for a mechanically capable person to train as a professional garage door technician. Garage door experience is NOT required. If you have experience as an automotive technician, mechanic, equipment technician, maintenance technician, installer, or another hands-on mechanical trade, many of the skills you already have transfer extremely well to this work. If you can diagnose and repair today's automobiles or equipment, you already have many of the mechanical and troubleshooting skills needed to become an excellent garage door technician. We'll teach you the garage door side of it. Garage door systems are relatively straightforward to learn for someone with good mechanical aptitude. Doing the job exceptionally well, however, requires attention to detail, problem-solving ability, pride in your work, and a willingness to learn. We're looking for someone who: Is mechanically inclined and comfortable using tools Is dependable and shows up ready to work Is teachable and can take direction without ego Notices what needs to be done without always being told Takes pride in doing a job correctly and leaving the work area clean Has a positive, glass-half-full attitude Wants to learn, improve, and become more valuable over time Has an active driver's license and a clean driving record What we offer: $20-$35/hour, plus bonuses, depending on mechanical ability and experience Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM Paid training — we'll teach you the garage door trade Full-time, year-round work Opportunity to advance as your skills, productivity, and responsibility grow A small-company environment where good work and initiative get noticed You don't need to know garage doors.
