A Precision or Fine Instrument Repairer makes, calibrates, repairs, maintains, adjusts and installs mechanical watches and clocks, and nautical, meteorological, optical and other precision instruments and equipment, and sets them for correct performance.
Bike Specialist Full-time | Plano Texas | About the Role We're looking for a Bike Specialist who lives and breathes bikes — someone who can diagnose and fix nearly any bike and learn how to solve ebike issues, translate that knowledge into training for our customer service team, and show up on camera to share it with our audience.
This is a hybrid role:
part repair technician, part trainer, part content creator. What You'll Do Serve as the go-to bike and ebike expert for our customer service team, answering technical questions on components, maintenance, and troubleshooting Diagnose and resolve bike/ebike problems (mechanical, electrical, and software) and document repair processes Create training materials (guides, videos, FAQs) that help support reps solve customer issues faster Appear on camera for social media content — product demos, repair tutorials, Q&As, and behind-the-scenes content Write articles and blog posts about ebikes, biking tips, and industry trends Stay current on ebike technology, batteries, motors, and industry trends Partner with marketing and product teams to inform content and product feedback What We're Looking For Hands-on bike repair experience (ebike experience preferred but regular bikes will work) — you can take apart and rebuild a bike.
Strong understanding of ebike systems:
batteries, motors, controllers, and common failure points Comfortable and confident on camera; prior video/content experience a plus but not required Clear written communicator — able to explain technical concepts simply Experience creating training materials or documentation is a plus Customer-service mindset; patient with non-technical audiences Self-starter who can juggle repair work, writing, and content creation Nice to Have Certifications (e.g., Barnett's, PBMA, USAC mechanic cert, or ebike-specific training) Why Join Us Work at the intersection of biking, customer experience, and content — help riders get more out of their bikes while building your own presence in the ebike space.
