W2 JOB SUMMARY
Description:
We are seeking an experienced Diagnostic Support Specialist to support dealership technicians by validating diagnostic software, investigating complex vehicle issues, and improving diagnostic processes. This role is ideal for candidates with strong hands-on automotive diagnostic experience, preferably in a dealership environment, who enjoy troubleshooting and collaborating with engineering teams. In this role, you will make an impact by: Validate and test diagnostic software before and after release to ensure quality and performance. Investigate dealership-reported vehicle diagnostic issues, perform root cause analysis, and document findings. Reproduce vehicle concerns, analyze diagnostic logs, and provide accurate condition, cause, and correction reports. Support new vehicle launches by coordinating diagnostic testing and validation activities. Collaborate with engineering teams to resolve technical issues and support diagnostic software improvements. Track technical issues, maintain documentation, and provide timely technical feedback to dealership technicians. To be successful in this role, you will need: 5+ years of hands-on automotive diagnostics, diagnostic support, or vehicle repair experience. Strong experience with OEM diagnostic systems and advanced troubleshooting. Knowledge of vehicle communication protocols (CAN FD, DoIP) and vehicle electronic systems. Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills. Knowledge with MS Office Suite.
Education/Experience:
Associate or bachelor's degree in automotive technology or equivalent work experience. Experience working in a dealership or OEM diagnostic environment is highly preferred. ASE Certification (or equivalent experience) is a plus. Experience with advanced diagnostic tools and software is preferred. I look forward to connecting soon!
