In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of security and alarm systems. Your expertise will ensure our clients' safety and security by delivering top-notch service and technical solutions. Duties Install, configure, and test various security systems including alarm systems, CCTV surveillance, sensors, fire alarms, and access control systems. Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting of low voltage electrical systems, cabling, and network connections to ensure optimal system performance. Use hand tools, power tools, schematics, and remote access software to diagnose issues and implement repairs efficiently. Interpret technical diagrams, wiring schematics, and system design documents to accurately install and service complex security infrastructure. Perform field service tasks such as system upgrades, remote access setup, sensor calibration, and system testing in diverse environments including construction sites and commercial facilities. Communicate effectively with clients to explain system features, provide training on operation procedures, and promote alarm system sales opportunities. Maintain detailed service records, inspection logs, and incident reports to ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies. Experience Proven experience as a service technician or alarm technician within the security or telecommunication industry. Strong mechanical knowledge combined with electrical experience related to low voltage wiring, cabling, and power tools usage. Familiarity with computer networking concepts including remote access software and network troubleshooting. Knowledge of security system components such as IDS (Intrusion Detection Systems), CCTV cameras, sensors, fire alarms, locks, and surveillance equipment. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently in diverse field environments while maintaining high safety standards.
