Monday-Friday, with flexibility based on project needs About Wallaby Windows of Nashville Wallaby Windows of Nashville is a locally owned residential window and entry door replacement company serving homeowners throughout Middle Tennessee. We are focused on delivering a better customer experience through quality products, craftsmanship, clear communication, and dependable follow-through. We are growing and looking for a reliable, detail-oriented Field Operations Technician to support our window and door installation operations. This is a hands-on field support role for someone who understands residential construction, takes pride in doing things the right way, and is comfortable working around window and door installation projects. Prior window and door installation experience is strongly preferred. About the Role The Field Operations Technician will support our post-sale operations process, including jobsite visits, installation documentation, service support, product inspections, supply runs, inventory organization, customer communication, and install readiness. This person will work closely with ownership and our operations/installation leadership to help ensure projects are prepared, documented, and completed to Wallaby standards. This is not a desk job. The right person will be comfortable driving between jobsites, interacting with homeowners and installation crews, taking photos, identifying issues, helping solve problems, and making sure our team has what it needs to execute well. Key ResponsibilitiesJobsite Support & Documentation Visit active jobsites before, during, and after installations as needed Take clear photos and document jobsite conditions, product details, installation progress, completed work, and service issues using CompanyCam or similar tools Confirm crews have the correct scope, notes, and materials needed for the job Communicate jobsite updates, concerns, or completion status to ownership/operations leadership Help ensure jobsite cleanliness, professionalism, and customer experience standards are maintained Install Readiness & Product Support Help prepare jobs before installation by confirming materials, supplies, accessories, and job details are ready Assist with product inspections upon delivery or before installation Check for visible damage, missing items, incorrect products, or other issues before install day Pick up, deliver, or stage materials, tools, supplies, hardware, trim, coil, caulk, foam, flashing tape, or other job-specific items Help reduce avoidable delays, callbacks, return trips, and installation disruptions Service & Warranty Support Perform basic service visits and inspections as directed Document service issues clearly with photos, notes, and measurements Assist with minor adjustments, troubleshooting, or field support when within skill set Coordinate next steps with ownership, operations leadership, installers, suppliers, or manufacturers Help close out punch list items and improve customer satisfaction Inventory, Tools & Supplies Organize and maintain company tools, supplies, samples, materials, and inventory Track commonly used installation supplies and notify leadership when items need to be restocked Help keep company vehicles, storage areas, and job materials clean, organized, and accounted for Make supplier runs as needed Customer & Crew Communication Communicate professionally with homeowners while onsite Help set expectations regarding jobsite activity, timing, documentation, and next steps Treat every home with care and respect Build positive working relationships with installation crews while helping uphold Wallaby standards Escalate concerns promptly rather than guessing or improvising What We're Looking For The ideal candidate is someone with hands-on construction, remodeling, carpentry, service, or window/door installation experience who is ready to be part of a growing company. You may be a strong fit if you are: Experienced with residential windows, doors, trim, siding, carpentry, remodeling, or installation work Mechanically inclined and comfortable around active jobsites Detail-oriented and willing to take clear photos, notes, and measurements Reliable, punctual, and accountable Comfortable working independently throughout the day Professional with homeowners, crews, vendors, and team members Willing to do practical field tasks such as supply runs, jobsite checks, product inspections, service support, and cleanup Comfortable using a smartphone or tablet for photos, notes, email, and job documentation Interested in growing with a company that values quality, communication, and customer experience Required Qualifications Experience in residential construction, remodeling, carpentry, installation, service work, or a related trade Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record Ability to pass a background check Ability to lift, carry, inspect, access jobsite areas, and perform field-based responsibilities Comfortable using a smartphone, tablet, email, photos, and basic software tools Professional appearance and communication Strong work ethic and willingness to help wherever needed Preferred Qualifications Direct experience installing or servicing residential replacement windows and/or entry doors Experience with full-frame window replacement, pocket replacement, entry door installation, exterior trim, coil work, flashing, caulking, or related installation details Familiarity with brands such as ProVia, Pella, Andersen, MI, Alside, or similar manufacturers Experience with CompanyCam, ServiceMinder, or similar project documentation tools Basic understanding of measurements, job scopes, service issues, punch lists, and installation best practices Compensation This position offers hourly pay based on experience.
Expected pay range:
