The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional heating, ventilation, and air conditioning services to both residential and commercial customers. This position requires a strong mechanical aptitude, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to customer satisfaction. Duties and Responsibilities Preventative Maintenance Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on HVAC systems Inspect, clean, and service all components of heating and cooling equipment Identify potential issues before they become costly repairs Document all maintenance activities and report findings to supervisors Filter Service Replace and inspect air filters on residential and commercial units Evaluate filter conditions and recommend appropriate replacement schedules Ensure proper filter sizing and fitment for all systems serviced Educate customers on the importance of regular filter maintenance Residential and Commercial Troubleshooting Diagnose and repair malfunctioning HVAC systems in both residential and commercial settings Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and refrigerant-related issues Repair or replace defective parts, components, and equipment Test repaired systems to ensure proper operation and efficiency Respond to emergency service calls in a timely manner Communicate repair findings and recommendations clearly to customers General Responsibilities Maintain a clean and organized service vehicle and tool inventory Complete service reports and work orders accurately Follow all safety protocols and procedures Stay current with industry codes, standards, and best practices Provide outstanding customer service on every job Basic Qualifications Education and Certifications High school diploma or GED required EPA 608 Certification required for handling refrigerants Completion of an HVAC trade school program or apprenticeship preferred Valid drivers license with a clean driving record Experience and Skills Minimum 1-2 years of hands-on HVAC service experience Working knowledge of heating, cooling, and ventilation systems Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and schematics Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment Basic understanding of electrical systems and controls Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Physical Requirements Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs regularly Comfortable working in confined spaces, attics, and crawl spaces Ability to work in extreme temperatures both hot and cold environments Comfortable working on ladders and rooftops Soft Skills Strong communication and customer service skills Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills Reliable, punctual, and professional appearance Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends as needed Compensation and Benefits Competitive pay based on experience Company vehicle provided
