Service Technician (Handyman) Monty's Handyman Services, Frisco-Plano Grow With a Brand-New Location From Day One The Opportunity This is a hands-on role with a brand-new Monty's Handyman Services location launching in the Frisco-Plano market. You will be one of the first technicians on the ground, delivering high-quality handyman, maintenance, and light repair work that builds the company's reputation one job at a time. This is not a role where you are lost in a large crew. Your craftsmanship and reliability will directly shape how customers see the brand from the very first day. As the business grows, so does your opportunity. Early technicians who show strong work and dependability will have the chance to take on more responsibility, mentor newer hires, and grow with a company that plans to expand across the DFW Metroplex. What You'll Do You will perform a wide range of handyman, maintenance, and light repair work across residential and light commercial jobs, from fixing a fence post to swapping a water heater to handling the small repairs that new homeowners run into. You will diagnose the real problem, do the work cleanly and correctly, and leave every customer confident they called the right company. You will document your work in the company system, communicate clearly and professionally with customers throughout each job, and support the Lead Technician on larger jobs and commercial accounts. When you spot additional work a customer needs, you will flag it professionally so the team can follow up. You will also keep your tools, equipment, and company vehicle in good, professional condition, representing the Monty's brand well everywhere you go. Who You Are 3 or more years of hands-on handyman, maintenance, or construction experience across a range of job types. Strong craftsmanship and real attention to detail, with pride in leaving every job clean and done right. A dependable, customer-first attitude and clear, professional communication on every job. Able to work independently and as part of a small team during the launch phase. Valid driver's license and clean driving record. Housecall Pro or similar field service CRM experience is a plus. Compensation and Support Year 1 on-target earnings of $56,000 and up, plus a company-provided vehicle, with room to grow as the business scales. Your package combines a competitive base salary with uncapped commission and a ramp bonus, so strong, productive work is rewarded directly. Full compensation details are discussed during the interview process. Benefits and Perks Company-provided work vehicle (Ford Transit) Health insurance contribution beginning after 90 days of employment Uncapped commission on the work you complete Ramp bonus of $1,500 at 60 days $75 bonus per verified five-star Google review Fully paid training week in Austin (last week of August), including travel, lodging, and meals Start Date and Training Anticipated start date is August 25, 2026, one week ahead of the September 1 launch. Your first week includes hands-on shadowing and training in Austin alongside the Lead Technician and experienced team members, with all training-related expenses covered by the company.
