Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Lab Optician to join our optical team. The ideal candidate will have experience in cutting lenses, assembling eyewear, and preparing prescription glasses for efficient and timely delivery to our customers. This role is essential in ensuring that each pair of glasses is made to the highest standards, offering precision, quality, and comfort to each patient.

Key Responsibilities:

Lens Cutting and Edging :

Precisely cut lenses to fit various frame styles and shapes, ensuring accuracy in sizing and alignment.

Lens Preparation and Assembly :

Assemble lenses and frames to complete prescription glasses according to specific patient needs and doctor specifications.

Quality Control :

Inspect finished glasses for any imperfections or issues in alignment, sizing, or prescription, maintaining high quality and consistency.

Efficiency and Productivity :

Meet production deadlines and optimize processes to ensure glasses are ready for patients on time without compromising quality.

Maintenance of Equipment :

Regularly clean and maintain edging, cutting, and polishing machines to ensure they operate smoothly and safely.

Inventory Management :

Track and manage lens inventory to ensure availability of materials for production.

Collaboration :

Work closely with the dispensing opticians and other team members to address any issues or special requirements in production.

Qualifications:

Experience as a Lab Optician or in a related optical lab role- REQUIRED. Proficiency with lens cutting, edging, and polishing equipment. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Good organizational skills and a team-oriented mindset.
