Service Technician Job Summary:

Precision Scales Inc. is seeking an experienced Service Technician with a background in electronic and mechanical systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and calibrating industrial scales, including hydraulic and electronic components. This role involves troubleshooting complex equipment issues, performing routine maintenance, and ensuring all devices operate accurately and efficiently. The technician will be required to lift tools and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds and travel to customer sites for repairs and calibration services. Strong communication skills, the ability to read manuals, and familiarity with Microsoft Office are advantageous. Prior field technician experience is preferred.

Responsibilities:

Troubleshoot and repair industrial electronic, mechanical, and hydraulic scales. Perform calibration procedures on various equipment following manuals and training. Maintain daily upkeep of all equipment, including cleaning, checking in/out, and minor repairs. Manage deliveries and pickups of equipment at different customer locations. Travel to customer sites for repair, calibration, and maintenance services. Lift tools and equipment up to 50 pounds as needed. Document service activities accurately using Microsoft Word and Excel. Assist with inventory management of tools and parts. Provide excellent customer service by addressing client concerns professionally.

Qualifications:

Minimum of one year of experience as a field technician or in a similar maintenance role. Basic knowledge of electronic troubleshooting, mechanical repair, and hydraulic systems. Ability to read manuals and perform calibrations (training provided). Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Good physical condition to lift up to 50 pounds regularly. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Word and Excel is a plus. Knowledge of sales processes is advantageous but not required.
