The Tubular Services Technician I supports running and tubular services operations by preparing the rig floor, handling equipment and tools, assisting with rig-up and rig-down activities, and ensuring work is performed safely and efficiently. This role directly supports field operations by helping crews execute casing, completion string, drill pipe, and related tubular service activities in a safe, organized, and service-focused manner. This position contributes to operational success by maintaining safe work practices, supporting crew members and service company personnel, and helping ensure tubular services equipment is prepared, checked, stored, and used correctly during field operations Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Ability to communicate effectively with rig crew members, supervisors, and shop personnel. Ability to multitask and remain organized while working both cooperatively and independently. Mechanically inclined with basic awareness of hydraulic and/or electrical equipment Ability to work with minimal supervision. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Safety- and service-oriented mindset with the ability to perform all work in a safe manner. Team-oriented with a positive attitude and good problem-solving skills. Ability to meet the physical requirements of the role, including standing, walking, lifting, pushing, and pulling as required. Preferred Qualifications Previous oilfield experience. Prior casing running, tubular services, rig floor, or drilling operations experience. Experience working in outdoor, field-based, or industrial environments. Familiarity with casing handling tools, tubular running equipment, or rig-up/rig-down activities. Basic mechanical, hydraulic, or electrical troubleshooting exposure. Experience operating a company vehicle or working in a role requiring travel to field locations. Physical Requirements & Working Conditions This position works primarily in a field and rig environment, including outdoor locations and non-climate-controlled work areas. The role typically works in a moderately noisy environment and involves routine exposure to the elements. The employee is required to stand and walk for long periods of time, including standing and walking more than 90% of the time. The role requires the ability to walk, sit, and use hands to handle, or feel more than two-thirds of the time. The employee must also be able to talk and hear more than two-thirds of the time. The employee must be able to lift, pull, and push loads of up to 50 pounds unassisted. The role requires close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus. The employee must also be able to go up and down stairs and perform repetitive motions. Prolonged work hours may be required in some circumstances.
