We are searching for a world-class professional ready to serve our world-class community. We are currently looking to a fill a Technician I or II level position. Once you join the team, we offer many opportunities for growth and advancement! Streets and Drainage Technician I ($21.22/ hr) No experience is required, but you must have the ability to obtain a Class B CDL within one year of employment. Streets and Drainage Technician II ($22.28/ hr) Must currently possess a Class A or B CDL in the state of Texas. Medium Equipment Operator ($23.39 / hr) Minimum of 2000 hours experience or two years of light equipment operation. Possession of a Class B Commercial Texas Driver's License and ability to obtain Class A Commercial Texas Driver's License within 90 days of hire. Possession of an IMSA Sign and Pavement Marking certification. Possession of an IMSA Work Zone Traffic Control Safety certification. Work requires unusual hours and the ability to be on call after business hours. The Public Works Streets and Drainage Team maintain 209 miles of streets, 36 miles of drainage ditches, gutters, street curbs, and medians, 2,662 curb inlets, 107 miles of drainage, and 12 miles of box culvert pipe.
