To Be Determined Job Description Primary Purpose Maintain custodial equipment in a condition of operating readiness; performing routine repairs and preventive maintenance. Maintain accurate inventory of site based custodial and emergency response equipment. Qualifications Education/Certification High school diploma or GED preferred Texas driver's license and pass MVR driving record check - must meet eligibility requirements for CCISD motor vehicle insurance Special Knowledge/Skills Effective communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills Bilingual - Spanish/English preferred Knowledge of custodial equipment maintenance Basic knowledge of electrical wiring diagrams Ability to analyze problems to reach repair solutions Experience Minimum of 3 years equipment repair experience Major Responsibilities and Duties Assume primary responsibility for the safe and efficient operating condition of custodial and emergency response equipment. Initiate warranty repair work requests through applicable repair vendor. Perform routine repairs, preventative maintenance, and new installations. Recommend when repair and/or installation assistance should be obtained. Document repairs and preventative maintenance utilizing current work order management system. Maintaining accurate inventory of site based custodial and emergency response equipment. Travel to schools to facilitate repairs, preventative maintenance, and/or train custodial staff in proper operating procedures based on manufacturer's recommendations. Work in cooperation with Maintenance Supervisors in maintaining the district's preventive maintenance and energy management programs. Participate in district's Standard Reunification Protocol as directed by the District Incident Commander or designee. Be available for after hour demands. Maintain friendly customer-service-driven interactions with all stakeholders, students, teachers, administrators, and co-workers. Work cooperatively with co-workers and supervisors to ensure that the goals of the school/department are met. Maintain a positive and professional tone in all communication (i.e. email, written, and verbal). Perform other duties and accept other responsibilities as assigned.
