Job Description
Utah Valley University is seeking a student to assist the Student Life department! Under the direction of the Technical Director, the student will be responsible for, but not limited to the following duties: Provides technical support in event spaces and venues. Performs the setting up and breaking down of AV and lighting equipment for campus events. Runs campus events. Performs hands-on repairs to AV and lighting equipment and related systems. Must be a current UVU student. Must have excellent customer service skills. Preferred Qualifications Spanish or ASL preferred, but not necessary Physical Requirements Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. A lot of stretching, reaching, standing, walking, and sitting. Knowledge of different AV systems Knowledge of digital and analog AV signals Knowledge of Mac OS and Windows OS Knowledge of troubleshooting hardware and software problems, and researching technical issues Skills with troubleshooting AV technology Skills in customer service and interpersonal communication Ability to perform specific tasks in a timely and professional manner Ability to be highly self-motivated with the ability to learn quickly Ability to perform other job-related duties as assigned Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
