The Electronic Security Service Technician installs, services, troubleshoots, and maintains electronic security systems including video surveillance, access control, intrusion detection, alarms, and related lowvoltage equipment. This role ensures systems operate reliably, meet customer requirements, and comply with industry standards Responsibilities Install, configure, and test CCTV/IP camera systems , NVRs/VMS platforms, and networked security devices Install and service access control systems (card readers, door hardware, controllers, biometrics) Diagnose and repair intrusion alarm systems , sensors, panels, and communication modules Perform preventive maintenance , system inspections, and firmware/software updates Run, terminate, and label lowvoltage cabling (Cat5/6, coax, fiber) Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical schematics Provide onsite and remote technical support to customers and internal teams Document service activities, parts used, and system configurations Ensure compliance with safety standards , company policies, and local regulations Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and vendors to resolve complex issues Qualifications Experience with electronic security systems (video, access, intrusion) Strong understanding of IP networking , switches, PoE, and basic routing Ability to use diagnostic tools (multimeter, cable tester, laptopbased utilities) Knowledge of lowvoltage wiring standards and installation best practices Strong problemsolving and customerservice skills Ability to work independently in the field Valid driver's license; ability to lift equipment and work on ladders Equal employment opportunity, including veterans and individuals with disabilities.
