Marina Service Technician Location:
Charlotte, VT, 05445 Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and motivated Marina Service Technician to join our team in Charlotte, VT. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing maintenance, repairs, and inspections on boats and marina equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to providing outstanding customer service. Key Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance and repairs on a variety of boats including engines, electrical systems, and hulls. Inspect boats and marina equipment to identify issues and recommend necessary repairs or upgrades. Assist with launching, hauling, and winterizing boats as needed. Maintain and repair marina facilities and equipment such as docks, lifts, and fueling stations. Provide technical support and advice to boat owners and marina staff. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and environmental standards. Keep accurate records of maintenance and repair work performed. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth marina operations. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in marine mechanics preferred. Proven experience in boat maintenance and repair, preferably in a marina setting. Strong mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting skills. Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in physically demanding environments. Work Environment This position involves working both indoors and outdoors at the marina. The role may require lifting, bending, and working in varying weather conditions. Safety is a top priority, and adherence to all safety protocols is required.
