Job Description

About the Position Mr. Handyman of Waukesha and North Milwaukee is seeking an experienced Lead Service Technician who takes pride in quality craftsmanship, professional customer service, and helping others succeed. This is a working leadership position. You will complete residential and light-commercial projects while setting the standard for workmanship, communication, organization, and job-site professionalism. You may also assist with training technicians, solving challenging project issues, and ensuring work meets our quality standards. What You'll Do Complete a wide range of repair, maintenance, and improvement projects Perform carpentry, drywall, painting, door and window, flooring, and general repair work Diagnose problems and recommend practical solutions Review project scope and confirm pricing before beginning work Identify changes in scope and document change orders Communicate clearly with customers throughout each project Lead by example and provide guidance to other technicians Help technicians troubleshoot difficult projects Inspect completed work for quality and customer satisfaction Maintain an organized, safe, and professional job site Accurately document work, materials, photos, and project notes Coordinate with the office when additional work or appointments are needed Support company safety procedures and operating standards What We're Looking For At least ten years of professional handyman, remodeling, construction, or building-maintenance experience Broad knowledge of residential repairs and improvements Strong carpentry and finish-work skills Ability to independently evaluate and complete projects Experience leading, mentoring, or training other tradespeople Excellent communication and customer-service skills Professional appearance and dependable work habits Ability to use mobile applications for schedules, job notes, and photos Valid driver's license and a safe driving record Ability to pass applicable background and driving-record checks Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and safely work from ladders Personal hand tools appropriate for the position Ideal Experience Experience in several of the following areas is preferred: Rough and finish carpentry Door and window repair Drywall repair and finishing Interior and exterior painting Trim and molding installation Cabinet and hardware installation Flooring and tile repair Deck, railing, and fence repair Minor plumbing repairs Light fixture and electrical-component replacement where legally permitted Commercial facility maintenance What We Offer Competitive hourly compensation Consistent, full-time work Primarily weekday scheduling Company vehicle for assigned work Paid time off and paid holidays Retirement plan with company match Opportunities for performance incentives Training and professional development Office support with scheduling and customer communication Opportunities for advancement as the company grows A professional team that values skilled tradespeople Join Our Team If you are an experienced craftsperson who can lead by example, solve problems, communicate professionally, and deliver work you are proud to put your name on, we would like to hear from you.
