Responsibilities Conduct field service visits to assess client needs, perform maintenance, and resolve technical issues promptly. Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and system design documents to ensure accurate installation and repairs. Install, configure, and troubleshoot telecommunications and professional AV systems, including low voltage wiring, cabling, hardware components, and fiber-optic cabling. Deploy advanced AV infrastructure, including the physical installation of TVs, displays, and high-impact video walls. Configure AV-over-IP hardware, specifically setting up, programming, and troubleshooting media encoders and decoders. Integrate control systems, including the deployment and programming of the control platforms for automated room management. Outfit conference rooms with tailored audio solutions, including the installation and tuning of commercial speakers, microphones, and routing hardware. Deploy network hardware, including the physical mounting and software configuration of network switches to support dedicated AV and telecom traffic. Utilize hand tools and power tools safely to complete installations in construction or retrofit environments. Conduct signal quality tests, line verification, and system performance evaluations for both network and audiovisual systems. Collaborate with electrical teams on low voltage wiring projects while adhering to NEC (National Electrical Code) and TIA (Telecommunications Industry Association) standards. Maintain detailed records of service activities, system configurations, and client interactions for quality assurance. Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies. Qualifications Proven experience as a service technician or in a related field involving telecommunications, commercial AV integration, or security systems. Strong technical knowledge of computer networking, computer hardware, network switches, and system design principles. Hands-on AV expertise, including experience mounting TVs/displays, aligning video walls, and configuring multi-zone audio/speaker systems. Familiarity with AV-over-IP signaling, including the operational mechanics of encoders, decoders, and matrix switchers. Mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience using hand tools, power tools, schematics reading, and electrical wiring. Electrical experience with low voltage wiring standards and NEC compliance. Effective communication skills for collaborating with clients and team members while providing exceptional customer service. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose issues remotely or on-site efficiently. Ability to work in diverse environments including construction sites or existing facilities requiring cabling or system upgrades. Ability to work variable hours, on-call shifts, or travel between job sites. Must be able to lift at least 50lbs and work in confined spaces. Preferred Qualifications Experience with installation of Control Systems, including Velocity or related AV control platform configuration and deployment. Experience installing and maintaining security systems such as CCTV cameras, sensors, fire alarms, IDS (Intrusion Detection Systems), access control devices, as well as Wireless Access Points (WAP). Familiarity with surveillance equipment such as CCTV cameras, sensors, alarm systems, and fire alarms. Experience performing remote access software configurations for system monitoring and troubleshooting across various platforms.

$20.00 - $21.50 per hour
