Responsibilities Perform fiber splicing, including fusion splicing and mechanical splicing, to connect fiber optic cables accurately and efficiently. Install and troubleshoot network infrastructure such as Cisco routers, Ethernet switches, and telephony systems to ensure optimal performance. Conduct cabling tasks involving , cable management, and mechanical installation of network components. Use hand tools, and other specialized equipment to test signal strength, and network integrity. Assist with the installation of telecommunication systems, including voice and data services, ensuring compliance with industry standards. Diagnose and resolve issues related to fiber optics, network hardware in the field. Maintain detailed documentation of work performed, including splicing maps, test results, and service reports for quality assurance. Experience Proven experience as a service technician or field technician within telecommunication or networking industries. Hands-on experience with fiber splicing techniques and network installation procedures. Familiarity with Cisco routers, Ethernet networking, telephony systems, and cabling standards. Mechanical knowledge related to installing and maintaining low voltage electrical systems. Ability to operate hand tools such as crimpers, cutters, strippers, and testers effectively. Knowledge of electrical safety practices and the use of testing equipment like ohmmeters. Strong troubleshooting skills in fiber optics, computer networking, telecommunication systems, and electrical components.
