About the Role We're looking for a skilled Subsurface Specialist to join a growing field services team in the Fort Myers area. In this role, you'll combine technical expertise with a consultative, client-facing approach — using advanced scanning and mapping technologies to support safe, efficient execution of complex projects. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams on a variety of site types, from urban infrastructure to large-scale developments, giving you strong visibility and growth potential within a specialized technical field. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys blending hands-on technical work with relationship-building and business development — helping clients solve real problems on the ground while contributing to a strong safety culture. What You'll Do Conduct on-site subsurface investigations using multiple detection technologies, capturing findings digitally through integrated field software and GPS tools Deliver accurate mark-outs, reports, and on-site solutions that meet strict quality and safety standards Engage directly with clients before, during, and after service delivery to ensure accurate data capture and a smooth client experience Identify and pursue new business opportunities through site visits, networking, and market outreach Partner with regional business development and account teams to support cross-selling into related service lines Prepare custom quotes, proposals, and pricing, guiding clients through a consultative sales process as a trusted technical resource Coordinate scheduling and delivery with local operations teams Maintain detailed records of client interactions and opportunities in the CRM Represent the company at industry events, safety meetings, and project kickoffs as needed Champion a strong safety-first mindset in every client interaction What You Bring High school diploma or equivalent (required) Technical certification in ground-scanning technology or a related field preferred Valid driver's license with a clean driving record 2+ years of relevant field experience, ideally in scanning, mapping, or utility locating, with verifiable references Prior sales or customer-facing experience in a technical or industrial services environment is a strong plus Hands-on experience with underground utility location and mapping investigations Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with basic sales aptitude and comfort following up with clients A safety-oriented mindset and sharp situational awareness Ability to work independently or as part of a team, adapting to shifting priorities and deadlines Comfortable producing clear technical reports and job site documentation Proficiency in Microsoft Office; CRM experience a plus Willingness to travel locally between job sites and work in varied outdoor environments Physically able to lift 50+ lbs, carry field equipment, and stand, walk, or crouch for extended periods Candidates must be able to pass a post-offer background check, motor vehicle records check, and drug/alcohol screening.
