We are looking for a skilled Cisco VoIP/Radio Communication Systems Tech to support essential public safety and emergency communications operations in Florida. This Long-term Contract opportunity is ideal for a telecommunications specialist who can maintain reliable voice, radio, and dispatch-related systems in a fast-paced service environment. The role requires strong troubleshooting ability, sound technical judgment, and a commitment to keeping mission-critical systems operational for first responders and related agencies.
Responsibilities:
- Support the installation, configuration, maintenance, and repair of critical communications platforms used by law enforcement, 911 teams, fire stations, and emergency response personnel.
- Troubleshoot issues affecting Cisco voice systems, land mobile radio equipment, telephony components, dispatch-related technology, cabling, and connected infrastructure to restore service quickly.
- Investigate service interruptions and performance concerns, identify underlying causes, and apply effective corrective solutions to minimize downtime.
- Coordinate equipment purchasing, deployment, testing, upgrades, and replacement planning across the communications environment.
- Maintain organized records for device inventories, equipment assignments, configurations, and other operational documentation to support accountability and continuity.
- Review vendor billing and related documentation to help ensure accuracy and timely processing.
- Work closely with manufacturers, carriers, service providers, and external partners to resolve technical issues and sustain dependable communications services.
- Provide technical assistance during urgent incidents and be available for flexible scheduling, including after-hours response when operational needs require it.
