Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a Telecommunications Technician and become a vital part of building, maintaining, and troubleshooting advanced communication networks. In this role, you will install, test, and repair telecommunications infrastructure, ensuring seamless connectivity for residential and commercial clients. Your expertise will help deliver reliable voice, data, and video services, empowering communities with cutting-edge technology. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a variety of environments. Responsibilities Install telecommunications network cables, including fiber optic splicing and Ethernet wiring, in residential and commercial settings. Use ladder and lift work, wire crimpers, wire strippers, electrical tools, and power tools to carry out installations safely and efficiently Conduct equipment testing using ohmmeters and other diagnostic tools to verify system integrity and troubleshoot issues Perform field service tasks such as cable routing, and telecommunications infrastructure upgrades Operate company vehicles responsibly to travel between job sites while adhering to safety protocols Maintain detailed documentation of work performed, including service reports, test results, and installation logs Skills Proven experience in network installation and telecommunications infrastructure work Strong knowledge of computer networking principles, Ethernet standards, and telephony systems Skilled in fiber splicing techniques and telecommunications cable installation methods Ability to operate hand tools like wire strippers, crimpers, screwdrivers, and electrical testers effectively Experience working outdoors in various weather conditions with outdoor work experience preferred Excellent customer service skills to communicate clearly with clients during installations or troubleshooting Familiarity with equipment testing procedures using ohmmeters or similar devices to diagnose network issues Valid driver's license with experience operating company vehicles safely in diverse environments Electrical work background is a plus for understanding power requirements and safety procedures, but not a requirement.
