•: $85,000-$100,000 This represents the potential salary range for this position depending on education level, years of experience and/or certifications in addition to other position specific requirements which may impact salary Position Overview The Telecommunications Technician supports high-availability communications for a large, diverse user base across multiple secure networks. This role provisions, modifies, and restores services in accordance with local and higher-level policies, and provides installation, testing, systems integration, and technical support in a 24/7 operational environment. Key Responsibilities Telecommunications Operations and Maintenance Prioritize and manage daily work assignments to meet operational requirements. fixed and deployable IT systems, including long-haul communications and tactical network infrastructure. Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain telecommunications systems and equipment. Complete service requests, generate reports, and support service restoration efforts, including equipment changes and configuration updates. Service Coordination and Ticket Management Coordinate and collaborate with internal IT organizations to support projects, maintenance, troubleshooting, and service implementations. Open, track, and close service tickets using ServiceNow and FaCIT. Maintain a Master Station Log. Coordinate scheduled and unscheduled outages with DISA and other external agencies. Secure Communications and Field Support Configure, operate, and maintain cryptographic equipment. Troubleshoot secure circuits locally and remotely. Provide field support at forward locations within the Area of Responsibility, as required. Shift and Mission Support Support rotating shifts and non-standard work schedules as mission requirements dictate. Qualifications Experience 3+ years of related experience. [Required] Experience in high-tempo military or enterprise telecommunications environments. Proficiency with long-haul data and voice transmission technologies, including fiber, copper, and satellite. Experience troubleshooting SONET/MSPP, CTP, and ODXC systems. Experience with encryption devices and secure voice/data transmission policies. Skills Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills supporting mission-critical communications. Certifications Applicable DoD 8140 or DoD 8570 certification, such as CompTIA Security+ CE. [Required] Clearance TS/SCI clearance. [Required] Other Requirements Bachelor's degree is not required. Valid U.S. passport. [Required] Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. [Required]
