About the Role SDF Inc. is looking for a hands-on Field Technician to support installation, maintenance, testing, and troubleshooting of advanced telecommunications and RF systems at customer sites. This is a true Road Warrior position for someone who is comfortable spending a significant amount of time on the road, working independently, and traveling between multiple customer locations throughout Georgia and the Southeastern U.S. Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, test, maintain, and troubleshoot telecommunications and RF equipment at customer sites.
• Perform onsite system inspections, preventive maintenance, hardware replacement, and corrective repairs.
• Conduct RF and cellular testing using spectrum analyzers and other field test equipment.
• Diagnose system, connectivity, hardware, cabling, antenna, amplifier, power, and network-related issues.
• Work with Windows and Linux-based systems to perform configuration, diagnostics, and basic command-line troubleshooting.
• Support commissioning, system validation, coverage verification, and fine-tuning activities.
• Document service work, test results, repairs, parts replaced, and follow-up actions in a clear and timely manner.
• Coordinate with engineering, R D, project management, operations, and customer teams to resolve technical issues.
• Maintain tools, spare parts, test equipment, and assigned field assets in ready-to-deploy condition.
• Provide professional onsite support in secure, mission-critical customer environments. Required Qualifications
• Hands-on experience in telecommunications, RF systems, electronics, networking, field service, or a related technical environment.
• Ability to troubleshoot technical problems independently and follow structured diagnostic procedures.
• Comfortable using hand tools, test equipment, laptops, and technical documentation in the field.
• Basic familiarity with Windows and Linux environments.
• Strong communication, documentation, and customer-facing skills.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel frequently for multi-site field work. - A must
• Ability to work in equipment rooms, outdoor environments, secure facilities, and other field conditions.
• Willing to work in the corrections environment
• Flexibility to support occasional night, weekend, or urgent service activity when required.
• Must be based in Georgia or willing to relocate.
• The right candidate must be willing to pass criminal history background check Preferred Experience
• Experience with

LTE / 4G / 5G

cellular technologies and RF fundamentals.

• Experience with antennas, amplifiers, RF cabling, filters, and related telecom infrastructure.
• Experience using spectrum analyzers or comparable RF test equipment.
• Linux command-line troubleshooting experience.
• Previous field-service experience supporting multiple customer sites.
• Technical military background, electronics training, or relevant technical certification.
• Experience working in correctional, public-safety, government, or other secure environments.

Compensation & Work Structure

• Base salary: $65,000-$72,000 per year, depending on experience and technical background.
• Full-time position with frequent travel, typically 50%, with some periods requiring additional travel based on project and service needs.
